TUE 11/03/08 Masa packing last nite, we realised that our print out flight confirmation was missing in our file (maybe during check-in they did not return the paper).Since we have no specific plan today we wait the Internet cafe nearby our apt to open. After we get the print out around 10am we check-out and heading to Barcelona Stadium. Nothing much to explore at the stadium we went back to La Ramblas...dapatlah Nana menikmati lagi sekali waffleand hubby with his crepes.
Since it still early we spent some time wondering around and managed to do last minute shopping and enjoyed street artist performing.
This time we used the hi-way to Reus Airport - we have to pay EUR13.00, but it took us less than one hour to reach the airport.
Home sweet home around 8.00pm and we really enjoy the trip.

BARCELONA DAY 3

View all 52 photos...
MON 10/03/08Our starting point as usual is Placa Catalunya. We take a red route and our first stop is Sagrada Familia. The unfinish cathederal which started been build in 1882 and expected to finished in the next 20/25 years. Memang tak siap punya...pekerja sibuk buat model bangunan instead of bangunan. Next stop is Guell Park. This park used to be Gaudi's house - the man who introduced the modernism art in architecture or also known as catalan art. He used a lot of ceramic element in his creation. We decide to jump back into blue route and stop at Caixa Montjuic and nearby Placa Espanya. We also stop at Olympic stadium before having our lunch at Port Olympic. Here we have pizza and make sure to order the seafoods - it is fresh and delicious; yg penting harganya pun berpatutan. Now time to burn back the calories intake, we walk through the Barcelona Zoo until we reach the arc - not Marble Arch not Arc de Triompe n not Gerbang Darul Ehsan. It is called Arc de Triomf. From there we walk again to Placa Catalunya and reach our aprtment at Ronda Sant Antoni. What a day....semua terlepak kepenatan.

SUN 09/03/08We started the morning early and walked to Placa Catalunya. Hubby favourite place is Hard Rock Café just nearby the Placa. This is the place we took the Tourist bas. There are three routes i.e. blue, green and red. So for today, we choose the blue line. Barcelona is made famous by a person named Gaudi. He was the prominent architect that designed many unique buildings in Barcelona. Along the Blue route,we saw the Casa Batilla and La Pedrera. We decided to stop at Teleferic de Montjuic, where we took a cable car to the top of Museu Militar de Montjuic. The secenary was amazing and we could see Segrada Familia from the top. The next stop was Mirador de Colom. Near this area is Barcelona Port Building. We stopped for crepes n waffles…yummy..makan kat tebing muara…teringat makan rojak petis kat Tanjung (Muar) my hubby kampong. Then we went to L’aquarium. The promotion says “if you haven’t been here, you haven’t been to Barcelona”…hampehh sungguh….I still vote KLCC Aquaria the best in the world. To get there we walked on Rambla de Mar to Port Vell. No more stop, still in election mood and reached our apartment around 6pm. After dinner we had a good rest and tomorrow will be riding on the Red route.

BARCELONA - DAY 1

Luton Airport

SAT 08/03/08OOOOOLLAAAA. After many times looking for a good bargain, we managed to get a cheap flight to Barcelona i.e. around £160 return for all of us (6 pax). However, we flew in at Reus; about 110 km from Barcelona city. Car rental also not bad, 7 seaters cost us less than 100 Eur for 4 days.

It took us more than an hour to reach Barcelona city as we did not follow the highway from the start. We only paid 3 Eur. The highway from Reus to Barcelona will cost about 13 Eur.

Our trip coincided with the general election. We were getting first hand information direct from Msia (2 am Msia time). We received the good news earlier than my sis in Kelantan.Too busy with sms ended up only a few photos in the first day. Anyway, we had yet to explore the city.

We arrived at Barcelona city around 8 pm. The 3-bedroom apartment located near Sant Antoni Metro and Bus stop; about a few steps away. Around the corner is the Sant Antoni Mercat (Mkt). Halal food is everywhere like Kebab and raw chickens.La Ramblas is about 20 mins slow walk. The apartment is complete from kitchen utensils to washing machine.

salam.tq for visiting our FP. entry for day 2 onwards tak dapat dibuat, kami semua demam except hubby(cuti 3hari jaga kami semua)this week plan to edinburgh pun terpaksa cancel... Fri 21-Mar-2008 17:44

HUSNA VISIT LONDON ZOO

I'm in the bus
join me..? hold my hand pls

View all 8 photos...
TUE 29/01/08 Before we went to the Zoo, parents were given some notes by the teacher what to explain to the kids..they were going to visit noctural animal(animal that sleeps day time). Each mom had to look after 3 kids. The kids also being told by the teacher to hold hand at all time..naik kebas tangan, "if not you won't see your mom and dad again" thats what the teacher remind them and the kids kept repeating the sentence once their friend lose the grip.

We arrived a bit early, and the noctural section still closed so we wondered around the zoo, but sorry no picture taken while we were inside the noctural section as it is underground and very dark(to simulate the original habitat), sampai nak tengok the animals pun tak leh nampak. Macam masuk rumah hantu...and very smelly. I just brought my kids for a while only inside...tak boleh nafas beb..

Overall they really enjoyed the trip!!

CAMBRIDGE

Market
Guild Building

View all 36 photos...
SAT 19/01/2008 We went up to Cambridge with Azam and family. The journey took about one and half hours from London. Rainy day redah juga. In front of the Guildhall buiding there was a market - lots of things on sale including congkak. We meet a nice student couple who just arrived a week ago. We visited two colleges - Kings college and Trinity college. Trinity college closed for visitor on that day. Eventhough it was raining and cold still got people punting and canoeing. Semua dah basah kuyup, we took a trip in a free city bus around the town. We reached home around 7 pm. What a tiring and wet day but a satisfying visit.

SUN 20/01/2008 Harrods sale and today extra 10% discount for members. As advised by our consultant En. Azam, we had to be at there early to get a nice spot to park a car. Ater drop the boys at their arabic school we straight went to Harrods and managed to park in front of the left entrance. Memang buang tebiat, Harrods only opened at 12 noon and we already there around 10am. So as advised by our consultant, we lepak kat Starbuck. Moment later our consultant also joined in for breakfast. We spent nearly 2 hours for a cup of vanilla latte, hot choc, fruit juice and a cup cake but only took us 1 hour + at Harrods before we had lunch at bonda cafe formerly known as nahar cafe. What a day and thank you to our consultant and family who also joined us for lunch. Fetched the boys n zzzzzzzzz.
